-Horse Trekking

When I was a kid, I liked Western Cowboy movies.

It was because of gun fighting, but also it was the actors riding horses so fast on a vast plain as screaming “Yay~~~”.

Since then, I started to like horse like thinking it as a friend.

It was the first time when I worked in Phuket of Thailand that I seriously learned horse-back riding.

It was horse-back riding I got into besides skin scuba diving and Muay Thai.

Horse-back riding in Phuket was walking or running on horse-back along beaches.

I still remember the first lesson.

I who got bored of walking step by step in straight position asked a trainer dragging my horse to take my horse and to ride it like real cowboy.

He didn’t understand at the first time, but he jumped on the horse like circus show and pulled reins back so the horse almost did stand up lifting his front legs and he ran so fast on the horse-back like one of the movie scenes.

Still I cannot forget the horse’s nasal sound and roaring that the horse made in front of me: it was Australian horse so it was really big.

I just learned one thing right after I saw that horse trainer’s skill who stopped the horse right in front of me.

It is a spring movement of the femoral region and pelvis.

It is like when you do bumps skiing, you absorb bumps only with your lower body. So you should absorb a power that is going up when a horse runs, then you can keep your balance.

Mongolia has the best nature condition for horse trekking.

Normally, if there are trees, there are supposed to be bushes but there are only tall trees and grasses but you can not find bushes which are annoying for horse trekking.

Plus, there are huge vast plain, green trees, and mountains with moderate height which horses can climb up easily.

It is the most delicious food that you have after the best run.

I will be one with a horse when you and horse climb down.

You lead a horse and walk down slowly as sightseeing and bonding with a horse.

That’s how you enjoy nature time.

We were invited to the guide’s house after climb down, so we went there and had wonderful lunch time.

A beautiful house and there were horses running around the house.

It was the house that I saw from fairy tale books.

The lunch we enjoyed in that house made me feel I was one of the cowboys in Golden Rush age and that feeling was my-self in the nature.

After the great lunch, we leaded horses in slow for relax, and we crossed small trails and streams, then we came back to UB2 hotel area where we started first.
