Henkel’s Top Sales Team Unleashes Inner Strength at Adventure Korea’s Taekwondo Team-Building Event

Last Thursday, May 21, 2026, the auditorium of a central Seoul venue was filled with energy as Henkel’s top sales managers gathered for an exclusive Taekwondo team-building experience, meticulously organized by Adventure Korea. This corporate event had the goal to be a high-impact, culturally immersive program designed to reward excellence, reinforce leadership values, and strengthen team cohesion through the discipline of Korea’s most iconic martial art.

The day began at 1:30 PM, as participants arrived in their customized Taekwondo uniforms, each adorned with Henkel’s branding and the traditional black belt they would later earn. The atmosphere was electric with anticipation as the group boarded buses for the short ride to the event venue. Along the way, Adventure Korea’s event staff set the tone with a briefing that blended excitement and focus, preparing the team for the challenges ahead.

Upon arrival, the group was warmly greeted before diving into the opening session, where the Taekwondo master team introduced the day’s philosophy : discipline, resilience, and controlled execution. A dynamic demonstration by the Taekwondo experts showcased the precision and power of the martial art, setting an inspiring example for the participants. This was followed by a short meditation session, allowing everyone to center their minds before the physical activities began.

The stretching and warm-up exercises that followed were a lesson in unity and synchronization. The team moved in harmony, their movements reflecting the teamwork and trust that the day aimed to strengthen. Then came the core training session, where participants learned fundamental Taekwondo movements and techniques. The energy in the room was palpable as the sales managers, many of whom had never practiced martial arts before, embraced the challenge with enthusiasm.

The highlight of the day was the “Breakthrough Challenge”, a series of team-based competitions designed to test not only physical ability but also communication, strategy, and collective determination.

Divided into six colorful teams (yellow, green, blue, red, purple, and pink) the participants engaged in a variety of fun yet demanding activities.
The Team Clapping Relay required lightning-fast coordination as each member turned to clap hands with the next in line, passing the motion down like a wave of energy.
The Blindfolded One-Leg Balance Challenge pushed individuals to their limits, testing their ability to maintain focus and stability under pressure.
In the Back-to-Back Squat Endurance challenge, pairs had to hold a squat position in the Taekwondo “Juchum Seogi” stance, their mutual support literally keeping them upright. The Group Kihap (Shout) Challenge brought out the team’s collective spirit, with each group aiming to produce the loudest, most powerful shout as measured by a decibel meter.
Finally, the Team Relay Board Breaking was the ultimate test of strength and precision, as teams took turns smashing wooden boards in a relay race, cheering each other on with every successful break.

Beyond the physical challenges, the event was infused with cultural authenticity and deeper meaning.
The Taekwondo masters emphasized how the principles of the martial art (focus, perseverance, and respect) align perfectly with the qualities of successful sales leaders. The reflection and recognition ceremony at the end of the day gave participants a moment to share their insights and celebrate their achievements.

Each team member received a personalized certificate from the Taekwondo team, along with a black belt engraved with their name, a tangible reminder of the discipline and teamwork they had demonstrated.

As the event concluded and the group boarded the buses back to their hotel, the energy was one of accomplishment and camaraderie. The Taekwondo experience had not only provided a fun and engaging day but had also strengthened bonds, reinforced leadership skills, and left a lasting impression on Henkel’s top performers.
For Adventure Korea, it was another successful example of how team-building can transcend the ordinary, turning a corporate event into a transformative experience that resonates long after the final board is broken.
