Day 1: Arrival in Namhae – Village Life and Lantern Walk

Morning: Departure from Seoul to Namhae Our adventure begins with an early morning departure from Seoul as we set out on a scenic drive towards Namhae, a beautiful island known for its coastal views and tranquil atmosphere. As you leave the city behind, you’ll be treated to picturesque landscapes and lush green hills, setting the tone for a peaceful getaway.

Late Morning: Daraengyi Village Check-In Arriving in Daraengyi Village, we’ll check into a traditional guesthouse where the rustic charm of the area welcomes us. Daraengyi Village is renowned for its preserved rural atmosphere, where you can experience the simplicity and beauty of Korean village life. The peaceful surroundings and traditional houses provide a perfect introduction to the culture of Namhae.

Afternoon: Orienteering and Lantern Walk Once settled in, it’s time for an exciting orienteering activity. Explore the village and its scenic surroundings in a fun and interactive way. Follow clues, work with your group, and uncover hidden gems in the village, all while enjoying the fresh air and natural beauty of Namhae.

As evening falls, take part in a magical lantern walk through the village. Carrying traditional lanterns, you’ll stroll under the stars, experiencing the calm and peaceful night. The lanterns cast a warm glow as you pass through the village’s narrow paths and lush landscapes, creating an unforgettable atmosphere of serenity.

Day 2: Embracing Nature and Tradition

Morning: Breakfast and Farming Experience Start your day with a hearty traditional Korean breakfast made with fresh, local ingredients, offering a taste of the region’s culinary delights. After breakfast, it’s time to roll up your sleeves for a farming experience. You’ll get hands-on in the fields, learning about traditional Korean farming methods. Whether you’re planting rice, harvesting vegetables, or tending to crops, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the hard work and connection to the land that defines rural Korea.

Afternoon: Korean Folk Music Experience After working in the fields, take a break and immerse yourself in Korea’s rich cultural heritage with a Korean folk music experience. Learn about the traditional instruments, such as the gayageum (a zither-like string instrument) and janggu (a double-headed drum), and discover the history and meaning behind the music. You’ll even have the opportunity to try playing some of the instruments, allowing you to connect with Korea’s musical traditions in a fun and interactive way.

Evening: Free Time or Exploration After the folk music experience, the rest of the afternoon is yours to relax or explore the village at your own pace. Take a leisurely walk through the countryside, interact with the locals, or simply enjoy the tranquility of your surroundings. This is your time to fully embrace the slower pace of village life.
