Special Overnight Culture, History, and Party Trip - Buan Masil Festival

Overview

Now that the Festival season is back, here is a special government-funded trip which makes it this great price, that we will be attending on Children’s Day weekend. We will be heading southwest to Buan, located right next to Kunsan along the southwest sea. The sunset is breathtaking and one of the must-see places in Korea.

This festival is a unique special trip and has all the history and cultural activities at this festival which we will partake in. Not only the history and culture that we can learn at this festival but there will also be live entertainment there and an EDM party in the evening.

There are many food booths that you can choose from for snacks and you can check out the full festival since it’s held in Buan Park. Everyone will be able to wear the traditional Korean uniform called Hanbok during the festival! Of course, there will be a couple of craft beer companies there as well. There will be many activities you can partake in that will emerge you in the culture like calligraphy class, tangerine picking, and soybean grinding. That evening we will be staying at a traditional hostel. Then at night, there is the Global Zone night party with different bands and DJs!

We are visiting the Chaeseokgang cliffs which are breathtakingly beautiful, there are many photo opportunities there and even a famous photo spot! The Chaeseokgang River, located in the Buan Chaeseokbeomju area of the Byeonsan Peninsula, is a stunning sedimentary rock formation resembling stacked rocks and books, named after a river in China. The cliffs, formed over millions of years by waves, create a breathtaking sea cliff and cave landscape. The area is known for its natural beauty, including high sea cliffs, coastal terraces, and unique geological features resulting from past volcanic activity. Dakibong Peak, the highest point of the Chaeseokgang River, offers panoramic views from an observatory. During low tide, visitors can explore the drained sedimentary rock layer, observe sea creatures, and marvel at the sunset from the sea caves. The Chaeseokgang River is a popular spot for swimming, water leisure, and photography.

Then we will go to Apple Orchard and there you will get the chance to make apple wine and get a winery tour. Then we will make our way back to Seoul after a fun weekend filled with activities, food, drinks, and beautiful sights.
