Through Adventure Korea’s Phuket program, students will explore how local communities live sustainably alongside nature while gaining a deeper understanding of environmental conservation, cultural diversity, and global citizenship. Participants will engage directly with local residents, educators, environmental specialists, and community organizations, creating authentic connections and unforgettable memories.
What to Expect During Our Phuket Program
Students will explore Phuket’s unique coastal ecosystems and discover the importance of environmental conservation through practical activities such as mangrove education, beach preservation projects, marine ecology programs, and waste management initiatives.
Through interactions with local communities, traditional craft workshops, local markets, Buddhist temples, and authentic Thai cuisine, participants will gain valuable insight into Thailand’s rich cultural heritage and way of life.
Students will visit local schools and community organizations, building meaningful connections through cultural exchange and service-learning opportunities while developing empathy and global awareness.
Rather than simply observing, students actively participate in every aspect of the program. From harvesting coconuts and pineapples to creating traditional Batik artwork and exploring coastal ecosystems, each activity encourages curiosity, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.
Itinerary
- Depart Seoul for Phuket
- Arrive in Phuket and meet the Adventure Korea team
- Transfer to accommodation and orientation session
- Welcome dinner and program briefing
- Learn how natural rubber is harvested and create your own rubber product
- Harvest fresh coconuts and discover their role in local livelihoods
- Join a Thai coconut cooking workshop
- Experience traditional mudflat fishing from a local long-tail boat
