Gyeongju Historical Bike Tour

Overview

This trip we will take you to Gyeongju, also known as the Rome of Korea. There, you can see a lot of historical sites from the Silla Dynasty. Gyeongju is one of the must-see places in Korea since it is full of history.

  • Bike and walk around Gyeongju. You will have five hours to ride around and explore (We will provide a city map)
  • Gyeongju has been described as the Rome of Korea because of all of the historical sites there. See Bunhwangsa Temple, Hwangnyongsa Temple, Seokguram Grotto, Bulguksa Temple, and more
  • Go to Bomun Lake and bike around the path around the lake
  • See Anapji Pond, built in 674, at night and see the amazing reflections of the buildings on the still water
  • Go to the Daereungwon and see huge burial mounds of the old kings from the Silla Dynasty. You can also go inside the Cheonmachong tomb and see how these mounds were built
  • See Cheomseongdae, an astronomical observatory built in the Silla Dynasty. It is the oldest observatory in East Asia and possibly the world
  • Visit the Gyeongju National Museum and see many artifacts from the Silla Dynasty
  • There are more activities and places that you may want to try out on your way like visiting the Teddy bear museum, hot air-balloon rides, ATV riding, and an Amusement park as well.
  • Eat some delicious Korean BBQ
  • Make traditional Korean rice snacks

Hike up the easy trail on the Namsan Mountain in Gyeongju. Get a view of the entire area since Gyeongju is mostly flat

Day 1

Pick up at a location of your choosing

Arrive in Gyeongju and leave for Bike tour
We will provide a tour map and stamp book

Bunhwangsa Temple – Hwangryeongsa Temple Site- Daeneungwon (Cheonmacheong)- Cheomseongdae-Seokbinggo Ice Storage-Imhaejeonji(Anapji)- Bomun Lake area-Gyeongju National Museum and much more

Return bikes at the rental shop

Move to Hotel

Arrive at accommodation and check in

Wake up and have Breakfast at the hotel(Included)

*From inside of Korea
-You can use ATM machines to wire payments directly from your bank account to Adventure Korea’s account, which is Shinhan Bank account no: 140-011-581081 under the name of (주)더에이케이트래블
-Visit any bank in Korea and have a teller wire the funds on your behalf
-Send the payment through Paypal
*You can also pay a deposit using any method above (30% of total price) and pay the rest when you come to Korea

Pick up site

We can pick you up at the lobby of wherever you are staying while in Korea. Please be in the lobby by the agreed upon pick up time and you will see our bus waiting to take you to your destination.

Cancellation Policy

We have to pay deposits for these trips with the different accommodations and activity places. If you cancel at the last minute, we are losing money as well. Therefore, we have put into place this cancellation policy. By paying for the trip you agree to this cancellation policy.
If you have paid and would like a refund we have a three week policy. This policy is as follows:
3 weeks before the trip: Full refund
2 weeks before the trip: 50% refund
1 week before the trip: 0% refund
