Seoraksan is one of the most beautiful mountain ranges that Korea has to offer, and it has many different hikes and peaks to go to. These hikes range in difficulty from easy to hard, and we can make a trip tailored to what you think your hiking ability is. Seoraksan is near the East Coast, so you will also be able to get a wide variety of food options ranging from mountain vegetables and other mountain foods to sea food that was caught very recently. The Seoraksan area is a great place to go to year-round as each season brings out a different type of beauty in it. There are many activities from each season to do as well on this trip.
Spring Activities
- Hike Seoraksan on one of the many courses there. Tell us what difficulty level you can do and we will suggest the perfect course.
- See the Heundeul Bawi Rock (Unsteady Rock) on the Ulsanbawi course. This is a great place to take a break and try to get the rock off of its perch. No matter how hard you and your friends rock it back and forth, the rock won’t move. This is a harder difficulty hike, not recommended for children and elderly people
- At the peak you can see as far out to the East Sea and all of the other peaks in the mountain range
- Take a cable car up to Gwongeumseong peak. This peak is accessible only by cable car and only takes 20-30 minutes to hike to afterwards.
- Go to the Biryong Falls Section where you can walk through beautiful foliage, walk over a suspension bridge over a river, and see the Biryong Falls that drop into a pool. This is an easy difficulty course
- Go to Gwongeumseong Fortress by cable car. After getting off the cable car it is just a 20-30 minute hike to the peak where you can get a wide open view of the other peaks. The ruins of an old castle are up there
- Go to the Jujeongol Section. The course that runs through Cheonbuldong and Baekdam Valleys, as well as the Seongguksa Temple Site, gives visitors breathtaking views of the Jujeongol Valley.
- Night tour of Sokcho is available and it is just a short 5 minutes away
- Accommodations are close to a nearby jjimjilbang and a hot spa
- Visit a hot spring and clear away your stress
- Visit the waterpark at the resort near the mountain range
- Go picking strawberries at a strawberry farm
- Visit Naksansa Temple, one of the three most holy sites in Korea
