Ojukheon House
Known as the birthplace of the respected Korean Neo-Confucian scholar, Yi I and his mother, Shin Saimdang, many tourists make their way to visit this well-admired family’s home. They are portrayed on the 5000 won bill and 50,000 won bill respectively. Yi I has been well-respected by Koreans while Shin Saimdang is a symbol of great and wise mother to many. In Ojukheon, you will be able to see the house that Yi I was born in, as well as other houses that he grew up with.
