Strengthening your bonds while having fun is possible, and this is what we aim to offer through our team-building activities.
A few weeks ago, we had the chance to welcome an international school from Jeju for a 3-days 2-nights tour of the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). During this tour, they took part in several types of activities, including the team-building session.
We chose the DMZ as our tour location because it offered them a great opportunity to discover Korea from a different perspective – with a more serious approach. It allowed them to witness the legacy of the war between North and South Korea, and to understand the challenges of the ongoing situation between the two nations.
It was an important step in their development as young Korean citizens to see with their own eyes how and why South Korea is what it is today.
Alongside this very formal and serious tour, they needed to unwind – and this is how they got involved in the team-building activity.
In small groups, they bravely endured uncertain weather and gave their best as they competed in three different games.
At Adventure Korea, we strongly believe that team-building activities can offer numerous benefits, and we’ve been promoting them for years now. This is the best – and most fun – way to create lasting bonds.
While competing, they are driven to enhance their communication skills, learn to let go, build trust, and act as a team to go further and faster.
This is also an effective way to build friendships and create unforgettable memories that will positively impact their school experience.
In addition to the team-building activity, the students also had a quick orienteering session. Still in their groups, they combined their strengths and reinforced their team spirit to be the quickest team to complete their tasks with – of course– a diversion to the playground where they had a great time.
Through the orienteering activity, they also had to maximize their communication skills, act as a team in decision-making, and support each other — it was truly invigorating.
We wanted these students to enjoy their trip and to remind them that fun can be found even during an educational journey — despite the serious and difficult topics associated with the DMZ’s history. And their smiling faces and laughter were the sunshine beneath the cloudy sky.
