Our journey began at the iconic Jeonju Hanok Village, home to hundreds of beautifully preserved traditional Korean houses. Walking through its charming streets, students experienced the timeless atmosphere of Korea’s cultural heritage while exploring local craft shops, tea houses, and historic landmarks.
Become a Part of Korean Tradition
Cultural immersion was the highlight of the trip. Students dressed in elegant hanbok, Korea’s traditional clothing, and learned about Korean etiquette and manners. From proper greetings to traditional customs, they gained a deeper appreciation of Korean culture while enjoying one of the country’s most photogenic experiences.
Learn to Make Korea’s Famous Bibimbap
No visit to Jeonju would be complete without experiencing its world-famous cuisine. Participants joined a hands-on cooking class where they learned how to prepare authentic Jeonju Bibimbap, discovering the ingredients, techniques, and traditions behind one of Korea’s most beloved dishes. The best part? Enjoying the delicious meal they created themselves.
Explore Jeonju at Your Own Pace
After the scheduled activities, students had free time to wander through the city, shop for local souvenirs, enjoy traditional cafés, and discover hidden corners of Jeonju. This personal exploration allowed everyone to experience the city in their own unique way.
A Journey Through Modern Korean History
On our return to Seoul, we made a special stop at Sunshine Studio in Nonsan. This impressive open-air film set recreates different periods of modern Korean history, allowing visitors to walk through streets representing various eras of the 1900s. It offered students a fascinating glimpse into Korea’s social and cultural transformation while providing countless opportunities for memorable photos.
