To celebrate the start of summer, Adventure Korea was thrilled to host a memorable camping trip to Yangpyeong. Over four nights immersed in nature, students participated in a variety of enriching activities, including team-building games, volunteer work on a local farm, and guided exploration of the Yangpyeong area. The experience offered students valuable opportunities to connect with their environment, develop cooperation and leadership skills, and gain a deeper appreciation for Korea’s natural and rural communities
The adventure began with a fun-filled day of animal encounters and water sports. Through hands-on discovery, students were able to connect with nature, build confidence, and grow as a team. They embraced every challenge with energy and enthusiasm, impressing me with their quickly learned kayaking skills!

From team building games to lending a hand with local farmers, the students dove into skill-building activities. These hands-on outdoor experiences and community services built important skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and independence, while also giving them a real sense of how food is grown and the value of farm-to-table.
One of the most memorable parts of the trip was rolling up our sleeves and learning how to make kimchi and steam buns from the local farmers, gaining a delicious firsthand look at local food traditions. It was a very fun and flavorful experience.
The evening wrapped up around a campfire, with many students trying s’mores for the very first time! The excitement and satisfaction were unmistakable as they sat side by side roasting marshmallows together.
This four-day journey in Yangpyeong was more than just a camping trip, it was a chance for students to challenge themselves, connect with nature and local culture, and strengthen their bonds with one another. As they stepped into summer break, they carried with them not only exciting stories, but also new skills, lasting friendships, and a deeper appreciation for the world around them.
