Sustainable ESG Tour Programs in Korea

Autumn Seely

At Adventure Korea, we believe that travel should not only be exciting and eye-opening, but also responsible. Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re proud to provide our ESG-focused tour programs, created to blend meaningful travel experiences with environmental awareness and social responsibility. These trips offer our guests the chance to explore Koreaโ€™s breathtaking landscapes while actively contributing to the preservation of its natural beauty.

ESG, short for Environmental, Social, and Governance, is an increasingly important standard in the global business world. In tourism, it represents a shift toward sustainable travel that values both people and the planet. At Adventure Korea, we see ESG as more than just a trend, itโ€™s a commitment to building a future where tourism supports local communities, protects fragile ecosystems, and inspires long-term change. Our goal is to offer tours that align with these values without losing the sense of fun, adventure, and discovery that our guests have always enjoyed.

Our ESG trips invite travelers to take part in a wide range of hands-on experiences. From beach and river cleanups to microplastic investigations, guests are given the opportunity to help restore and protect Koreaโ€™s coastlines and waterways. These activities not only improve the health of the local environment but also educate participants about the real-world impact of pollution and plastic waste. During our microplastic investigations, travelers help remove tiny, colorful plastic particles that often end up in rivers and oceans, where they are mistaken for food by fish and turtles. Itโ€™s a simple but powerful way to protect Koreaโ€™s wildlife and waterways.

We also offer volunteer opportunities that support local communities directly. On our farm trips, for example, groups can assist with planting, harvesting, and other seasonal tasks. We even visit salt farms in Korea and assist farmers while learning about the process. Itโ€™s a meaningful way to connect with the land and learn about Koreaโ€™s agricultural traditions, while supporting the livelihoods of small-scale farmers. Guests leave with a deeper appreciation for where food comes fromโ€”and for the hard work that goes into producing it.

Other ESG experiences include forest and elephant conservation-focused tours, where participants can learn about natural ecosystems in Korea and elephants in Thailand and whatโ€™s being done to protect them. These activities are designed to inspire a deeper connection to the environment and show how even small efforts can contribute to long-term sustainability.

Adventure Korea is committed to preserving Koreaโ€™s natural and cultural treasures for future generations, and we invite you to be part of that mission. Join us in rethinking the way we travelโ€”where every adventure leaves a positive footprint behind.
