An International School Field Trip

In today’s fast-paced world, the value of outdoor education is increasingly recognized as a crucial part of a student’s holistic development. Beyond the classroom walls, outdoor education offers students the opportunity to develop essential life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving in real-world settings. It’s an immersive experience that not only enhances academic learning but also fosters personal growth.

For over 15 years, Adventure Korea has been at the forefront of providing unforgettable outdoor education experiences, expertly designed to challenge and inspire students. Our unique programs blend fun and education, helping students to discover their potential while making lasting memories.

We offer a unique orienteering program that’s perfect for teams seeking both adventure and growth. This exciting group activity not only enhances your map reading and communication skills but also brings everyone closer together through shared challenges. Our orienteering program stands out by combining adventure with practical skill-building. Participants will build confidence as they master navigation, improve problem-solving abilities, and develop teamwork. Along the way, they’ll also increase their endurance and learn basic survival skills. Adventure Korea is the only place where you can enjoy this unique blend of fun and learning.

Recently, we hosted a field trip for an International School from Seoul, bringing together 120 high school students from grades 9 through 12 for a day of adventure and learning in the scenic region of Wonju. The field trip was meticulously planned, offering a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor activities that were both educational and entertaining. This trip marks the beginning of the high season with field trips for Adventure Korea, as we gear up to create more enriching experiences for students from various schools.

The day began with the students being divided into two groups. Grades 9 and 10 started with indoor team-building games, while grades 11 and 12 ventured outdoors for orienteering activities. Later, the groups swapped, ensuring that everyone had the opportunity to experience both sets of challenges.

The indoor activities were centered around fostering teamwork and building a strong sense of camaraderie among the students. These games were carefully chosen to encourage collaboration, communication, and mutual support, laying a solid foundation for effective team dynamics.

Meanwhile, the mission orienteering challenge was the highlight of the day. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Wonju, students had to navigate the area using just a map and compass. Divided into 11 teams, they began with a mini-game, racing to find the puzzle pieces that would form a cube. The team that completed the puzzle first gained the advantage of starting the main orienteering mission ahead of the others.

The main orienteering game was an exhilarating test of strategy, skill, and teamwork. Students faced various challenges, including catching fish with a trap, taking creative group photos at designated viewpoints, playing a short soccer match, solving a picture puzzle, and unlocking a box by answering questions correctly. Each task earned the teams points, and the group with the highest score was declared the winner.

By the end of the day, the students not only had fun but also gained valuable experience in team building, a skill that is crucial for their future success. The adventure provided by Adventure Korea was more than just an outdoor excursion; it was a lesson in leadership, cooperation, and resilience.

As we look forward to more trips this season, we continue to embody our mission of creating unforgettable educational experiences that shape young minds. Through our innovative programs, we help students step out of their comfort zones, explore the world around them, and develop the skills they need to succeed in life.
