Adventure Korea has long emphasized the importance of team building, believing that shared experiences help foster strong relationships, build trust, and create lasting memories among group members. This week, we had the pleasure of hosting Veeam for a fun and dynamic Squid Game–themed team-building event in the heart of Seoul at the iconic Gwangjang Market.

Famous for its vibrant atmosphere, traditional Korean street food, and colorful hanbok textiles, Gwangjang Market offered the perfect backdrop for this unique experience. Participants got to sample beloved local dishes like Bindaetteok (crispy mung bean pancakes), Mayak Kimbap (bite-sized rice rolls), and Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes). For the more adventurous, there were daring delicacies like Sannakji (live octopus) and Yukhoe (Korean-style seasoned raw beef). Trying these street foods was even part of a special bonus mission during the event!

To kick things off, the group played a “merry-go-round” icebreaker to randomly divide them into teams. Each team then created their own name and chant, building camaraderie and setting the tone for the challenges ahead. From there, the games began with a team version of Red Light, Green Light and a six-legged race, designed to strengthen communication, coordination, and team spirit.

The main event took place throughout the bustling alleys of Gwangjang Market, where teams competed in various Squid Game-inspired missions. Participants played classic Korean childhood games such as Ddakji, Gonggi, Jegichagi, and Biseokchigi. In addition, they had to complete market-based missions like snapping selfies with statues, tasting street food, and locating hidden “Game Masters” all while racing against the clock and navigating the lively crowds.

The result? An unforgettable experience full of laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition. Veeam brought incredible energy, enthusiasm, and collaboration throughout the day, and we’re grateful to have shared this memorable journey with them.

We thank Veeam for being such an amazing and spirited group. We hope to see you again soon for your next adventure!
