Top 5 Best Places to Experience Christmas in Seoul

Holiday season is here! Want to know the best spots for seeing Christmas lights and decor? Today I will be showing you the best Christmas/Holiday events happening right now in Korea!

1. The Garden of Morning Calm

2. Lotte World

Lotte World went all out this holiday season! From the amazing parades to the Christmas themed shows. This is definitely the place to go with everyone! Their indoor ice-skating rink also opened up recently. 

How to Get there: Take line 2 or 8 and get off at Jamsil Station Exit 4 (Lotte World connects to the station)

Tickets: If you buy the tickets at Lotte World they come out slightly more expensive at Adult 59,000 won/ Youth 52,000 won/ Child 47,000 won and past 4pm Adult 48,000 won/ Youth 42,000 won/ Child 36,000 won

However if you buy them online you can get it discounted! Starting at 35,000 won from Klook or 37,500 won from Trazy

3. Shinsegae Department Store Main Branch

This main Shinsegae store put on an amazing light show! As you can see they decorated the outside just in time for the holidays. Not only do they have this stunning display surrounding part of the building, but if you keep exploring you’ll notice the other decorated parts of the department store. It’s a great place to take a picture and of course look through the mall!
How to get there: Take line 4 (Danggogae bound) and get off at Hoehyeon station exit 7
Regular Hours of Operation: 10:30-20:00

4. Yeongdeungpo Times Square

Time Square is the place to take pictures. They have amazing decorations and lights making it an extremely popular area! But that’s not all they have- Time Square is actually home to one of the largest shopping malls! They have everything from 12 movie theaters (yes 12 theaters!!) to different types of stunning gardens. 

How to get there:
Using Line 1, get off at Yeongdeungpo Station, leave the station through Lotte Department Store, cross the street, and continue straight for 200m, then turn left, and walk 150m to arrive at Times Square.

Using Line 5, get off at Yeongdeungpo Market Station Exit 4 and walk for 10 minutes

Using Line 2, get off at Mullae Station Exit 4 and walk for 7 minutes

5. COEX Mall

Take a trip down to the famous Coex mall! Here they set up a beautiful white Christmas. The glowing tree left me speechless. While you’re here, don’t forget to do some Christmas shopping! 

How to get there: From Line 2 get off at Samseong station exit 5 or 6
From line 9 get off at Bongeunsa station exit 7
Hours of Operation: 10:30-22:00
